Job Description

The Sonographer performs a range of routine to more complex ultrasound procedures on patients based on physician orders; maintains records; provides general support to ultrasound operations; and executes duties with technical competency.



High School diploma or equivalent; graduate from an approved AMA school of Sonography, or Military Technical Training, or Post Graduate Medical Training; Sonographer I - Less than three years of experience as a staff Sonographer performing a variety of procedures; RDMS preferred upon hire or may attain within 12 months of date of hire; RVT preferred. Sonographer II - Three or more years staff experience performing a variety of diagnostic sonographic procedures or two years Lead/Supervisory/Hospital experience; Current RDMS and RVT required. Must be proficiently skilled in the application and use of Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet. Must be willing to work at other locations as needed.
