San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that an extension of Measure D, a parcel tax benefitting the hospital’s emergency operational services, was passed.
Preliminary results came in Tuesday evening showing that Measure D passed with 72.68% in favor of extending the $49 parcel tax for another 10 years.
“We are thrilled with the outcome, because it means we can continue to provide our community with quality emergency medical care services when they need it,” SGMH CEO Mark Turner stated Tuesday night after the results came in. “We are grateful to the voters and our supporters for their help and dedication to our community hospital.”
The funds from Measure D, which bring in about $1.8 million a year, directly support the Emergency Department as well as other departments that assist in emergency services.
